Ground Floor Back Room “The Surfer’s Hideout”
This is what we like to call our secret Surfer's Hideout! Located on the ground floor, under the kitchen (where our Chefs make brekky from 6:00am!), and on the mountain side of the property, it's our only non-ocean facing room. The 250-square-foot room features a queen-sized bed, bath tub and robes from local Parachute Home. It’s cozy and has a special kind of quirkiness that reminds us of The Surfrider in its iconic days when you'd rise with the sun and surf all day. There’s a bit of pitter patter when the Chefs are cooking during the day (from 6am - 10:30pm) so, if you’re very sensitive to noise, this room is not the one for you. It’s designed for surfers, road trippers, cool cats and those out and about all day (or, those who spend all their time on The Surfrider roof deck!) Two complimentary Pacificos on arrival. We have a fully accessible room with accessible bathroom available on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby. In addition, we provide clear access pathways, entrances and elevators and lifts to access the amenity spaces of the property, including the lobby, hallways, second floor library and roof deck bar and dining space. We also have an accessible parking space located just adjacent to the lobby and accessible room. We charge the first night's rate plus tax upon making the reservation. We charge the remainder of the room night's rates plus tax on the last day of the respective cancellation window.
An Amenity Fee of $35.00 + tax per night will be charged automatically to every reservation.
A valid ID and credit card are required for booking.
Maximum occupancy is 2 guests per room.
There is a strict no partying or after hours loud noise and music in rooms policy at the Surfrider. If violated a minimum $1,000 fine may be applied and you may be asked to leave.
Commercial photography, production shoots and filming are not allowed on the property without prior written consent and an additional fee. Permits may also be required.
Please note, group bookings of 5 or more rooms will automatically incur an extended 30 day cancellation policy. Guests traveling with a total of 5 or more rooms are considered a group booking, regardless of if the reservations were made by each individual guests.
Individual bookings of 10 or more nights will automatically incur an extended 30 day cancellation policy.
We love pets, however, we are not a pet friendly hotel. Persons with disabilities are allowed to bring their trained service animals. Cancellations or modifications to your reservation must be made no later than 3 pm PST, 1 week (7 days) prior to the arrival date. Any cancellations or modifications made within 1 week of the arrival date will be charged the entire reserved stay (room + taxes).
No shows will be charged for the entire reserved stay (room + taxes). To modify a reservation, please email or call. All cancellations are subject to a $25 transaction fee per room. Cancellations are considered confirmed cancellations upon receipt of a cancellation email. Modifications are considered confirmed modifications upon receipt of a revised confirmation email. If you do not receive the aforementioned emails, please call or email us.
